As I stated on a front page post, a lot of good music was released during the RoMPS hiatus. I felt like starting off with the best of the bunch, which is why two selections from 2007's Super Mario Galaxy Platinum Soundtrack are inaugurating RoMPS' reintroduction. These songs were composed by a relatively new Nintendo composer, Mahito Yokota, under the supervision of main Mario composer Koji Kondo. A full orchestra was utilized for one-third of the game's soundtrack, with some songs mixing high-quality synth and orchestral parts. Other works are referenced in some songs, such as Ravel's Boléro in "Battlerock" and Blue Danube in the hub overworld (perhaps in a reach at 2001: A Space Odyssey).

Overall, it's an excellent soundtrack and I wish I could share the whole thing with you. If you're the torrenting type, release group #gamemp3s uploaded it to their tracker a month ago, and it may still have some seeds.
