RoMPS #4 - "Devil's Tower (arranged)"
If you were releasing an album full of original chiptune music back in the day, it was common to include a track or two of arranged music. Usually, these arrangements would try to capture the same sound that the chip versions tried to capture, or sometimes they would stray far from the composer's original intent. In the case of Strikers 1945 part II, arranger Ryo Sakai chose a power metal style: a genre that Japan has proudly kept alive, along with the careers of so many 80s wailers and riffers. Listen for a little bit of Eddie Van Halen during the solo and the fadeout.
