RoMPS #7 - "Dawn of Sorrow (Level 3)"
Anyone vaguely aware of shooting games (not first-person shooters) is aware of Raiden. You've played Raptor? It's really Raiden. You've played Tyrian? It's really Raiden. You played Phoenix on your TI-83s in math class? Raiden again (Really, it hardly had anything to do with the old Taito game). Like most shooting franchises, it has struggled to find its place in an evolving market. In 2005, a publisher called Moss bought the stagnant license from original creators Seibu Kaihatsu and produced a new, 3D scrolling version of Raiden for arcades. Original composer Go Sato was brought back to create some nice synth pieces which harken back to the original titles of the 90s.
